On October 7, atlas jersey Jones made his debut for the England national football team in the qualifying match for the 2012 European Football Championship against Montenegro. Unlike in the 2009/10 season, Jones played mainly as a defensive midfielder in the first half of the following season, where he was positioned as a central defender in the early 2010s. If PSV reached the quarterfinals against AS Monaco at the expense of Olympique Lyonnais, Park would play the full game for 120 minutes in the return (at home), despite a few taps and a bruised nose (as it turned out later). Four days later, the striker did even better; in the league he scored twice against Burton Albion, the opening goal and the winning goal. Four days later he scored in the final group game in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League – FC Basel won 2-1, however, and United were eliminated.

The following season they were just one point ahead of relegated Grasshoppers Zurich. Park was not included in the match squad for the first games of the 2013–14 season, sparking speculation that he was set to leave the club. Park was unable to live up to the high expectations at QPR. In February 2009, Armero signed with Brazil's Palmeiras. In September 2009, he signed a two-year contract. He made his debut for the Korean national team in 2000, during an international match against Mexico. Park scored his first goal on December 20, 2005, during the 3-1 win over Birmingham City in the League Cup. In his last game, the club wins the Emperor's Cup thanks to a goal from Park. Manchester City won the League Cup on penalties at the time. Park is also a regular choice in Sir Alex Ferguson's team at Manchester United. On June 22, 2005, Park signs a 4-year contract with Manchester United. Jones played with Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
